Our Destinations in Patagonia

Country Information

Patagonia, the southernmost region of South America, is jointly shared by Argentina and Chile. This stunning region has the mighty southern Andes Mountains as its crowning glory, dotted with lakes, fjords, glaciers, temperate rainforests to the west and steppes, deserts, tablelands, and temperate rainforests to the east. Patagonia borders the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, with a multitude of waterways that connect them. They include the Strait of Magellan, the Beagle Channel, and the Drake Passage to the south.

Spend your days hiking, horseback riding or puma spotting, all while taking in the breathtaking scenery that makes Patagonia famous.

Some of the highlights of a Patagonia Tour!

Torres del Paine National Park, Chile

Even before you enter the most well-known of Patagonia's national parks, you'll notice the distinctive bell-shaped Los Cuernos range and the trident granite towers of Las Torres. Whether you want to enjoy the Towers up close as a day trip or do a multi-day hike to the base of these giants, Torres del Paine is the place to do it.

Ushuaia, Argentina

This is the gateway to Antarctica. Travellers heading for Antarctica merge on the southernmost town in the world, where they board their ship to the great white continent. Ushuaia is more than the gateway to Antarctica. If you’re a keen trekker, Ushuaia is every bit for you. With it peaks and remote trails, Ushuaia offers a treat to the keen outdoors person.

El Calafate, Argentina

El Calafate, Argentina, gateway to the Argentinian side of Patagonia. Famous for the Perito Moreno Glacier. Perito Moreno Glacier is of one the few advancing Glaciers, while other glaciers are retreating, Perito Moreno is still advancing. You can reflect on this gleaming, blue-white wall of ice from several locations accessible via a network of boardwalks. Occasionally, a softened "crack" and splash indicate the ice calving of a piece of ice the size of a small home.

There is so much more to experience in Patagonia; regions like Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas, and Puyuhuapi in Chile, Cueva de las Manos in Argentina, and of course the vast, sprawling Pampas.

Undertaking and planning Patagonia Tours can be overwhelming. It is a vast region covering two countries, so working with a knowledgeable professional makes a big difference to the outcome of the trip.
