Forward Get In Touch

Forward Travel curates small-ship expeditions under IAATO operating rules with typically less than 130 guests and zodiac landings twice daily where conditions allow. If you prefer to avoid crossing the Drake Passage, selected fly–cruise itineraries fly from Chile to King George Island, where you board your ship and begin the Antarctic Peninsula section of your voyage. Programs are selected for wildlife timing, ice access, and heritage permits. Some possible experiences:

  • Drake Passage, Peninsula landings, Port Lockroy, gentoo and chinstrap rookeries.
  • Push south of 66°33' S, late-season whale concentrations, extended sea-ice edge work.
  • Weddell Sea ice navigation, emperor penguin prospects early season, geology and sea-ice dynamics.
  • Hobart or Invercargill gateways, Scott–Shackleton huts, McMurdo Sound operations.
  • King penguins in their tens of thousands, Shackleton sites, and Peninsula wildlife in South Georgia & Falklands.
